Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Pesos to Dollars app, published by Eight Two Labs. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.
1. The app
Pesos to Dollars is an iOS travel money app built to help you understand approximate USD costs in Mexico, compare exchange rates, split bills, and track trip spending. It is published by Eight Two Studio, United Kingdom.
2. Rates are for reference only
Exchange rates shown in the app are for reference and informational purposes only. They are not financial advice.
Live market rates may differ from those offered by banks, exchange houses, ATMs, hotels, restaurants, or payment providers. Always confirm the rate with the institution before transacting. Eight Two Studio makes no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of exchange rate data.
3. Free tier
The core currency converter is available free of charge with no time limit.
4. Paid subscription
The optional paid subscription unlocks additional tools including rate comparison, tip and bill splitting, trip expense tracking, and offline access where available.
Pricing
Subscription pricing is shown in-app before purchase, in your local currency via the Apple App Store.
Billing and renewal
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Free trial
Where a free trial is offered, it will be clearly disclosed before purchase. No charge is made during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and your payment method will be charged.
Cancellation
You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a subscription period except where required by law.
Restore purchases
If you reinstall the app or change devices, use the Restore Purchases option in the app's Settings tab.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt unauthorised access to any systems connected to the app
- Redistribute or resell the app
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. Eight Two Studio does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eight Two Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including financial losses arising from exchange rate decisions made using the app.
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for a Pro subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Intellectual property
All content, design, code, and branding in the app belong to Eight Two Studio. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal, non-commercial use.
9. Third-party services
The app uses PostHog, RevenueCat, Apple, and a live exchange rate provider. Eight Two Labs is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of these services.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will update the effective date when we do. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
